What makes Pennsylvania great? The weather, people, and places. As for the weather, PA offers all four seasons—over time, you learn to love them all. The people, like the seasons, are just as varied: happy, sad, mad, boring, exciting, young, old . . . . And the places: amusement parks, malls, movie theaters, museums, stadiums and arenas, state parks, and much more! All this and more makes Pennsylvania great! I especially enjoy the places.
One day last July my brother, cousins, and I visited Ohiopyle State Park for a day of whitewater rafting. Four per raft paddled and navigated down the river. The rocks and swift currents made the eight-mile ride a challenge. But I loved being so low in the valley and looking up to see the blue sky and surrounding trees. Ohiopyle is one of the many places that makes Pennsylvania great!
